Take a walk through the estate grounds or swim in the pool in the Van der Valk Hotel Heerlen (a 5-minute walk), which borders the estate, or in one of the subtropical pools in the neighbourhood.

Take fun trips with the kids to the GaiaPark Kerkrade Zoo (an exciting and sensational animal park), Mondo Verde (world gardens-dinofauna-animal park attractions) or Kinderstad Heerlen (Europe’s largest indoor attraction city!). All well worth the effort for young and old; it takes only about 10 minutes to get there by car.
